My name is Steven Uster and I am the Founder and CEO of Zillidy.

Thank you for considering using Zillidy to get a personal asset collateral loan. I started Zillidy because I saw that too many Canadians couldn’t access the capital they needed to run their business, capitalize on entrepreneurial opportunities or deal with life’s surprises.

I thought that there had to be a better solution than waiting for a bank or maxing out credit cards. While thinking about how to make loans accessible, I identified that many Canadians, rich and not so rich, had their wealth tied up in assets and not in cash so I created a solution that enables people to temporarily shift that wealth back into cash without ever selling or losing their assets. This simple concept led to the creation of a new and exciting (and yes, perhaps unconventional) form of financing.

I started my career working on Wall Street in New York, first at UBS Investment Bank and then at Centerview Partners, advising large, public companies on all aspects of their business, including raising money and making acquisitions. I’ve worked with large and small companies, but my passion has always been helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses. While at The Wharton School getting my MBA, I focused on entrepreneurship and finding solutions to problems that existed for consumers and business owners.

I launched Zillidy because I believe there is a better, cheaper, faster way for Canadians to access the funding they need to achieve their goals and dreams. I want to use my finance experience and business education to create a client focused, friendly, secure and comfortable environment for Zillidy’s clients. Historically, when people searched for loans in Canada the landscape was not attractive. In fact, it was sketchy and expensive. Zillidy is changing that by making the funding process accessible, transparent and simple.

I believe that we should earn your trust before you do business with Zillidy and once we’ve earned that trust, it is imperative that we maintain it. Security is a critical aspect of our business. Your asset will be fully insured from the moment it leaves your possession until the moment you have reclaimed it. We use the most reputable insurer in the world, Lloyds of London. We store your asset in a fully secure facility under 24 hour surveillance.

Simplicity

At Zillidy, we try to make the process of obtaining, servicing and repaying a loan easy and stress free. You don’t even have to leave your couch or office to get a loan. We’ll email you a pre-paid Fedex shipping label, coordinate a pick-up from your home and deposit your cash directly into your bank account.
